Thriftique is a social enterprise of the National Council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section (NCJW). NCJW is a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who turn progressive ideals into action. Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice by improving the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. All of our retail establishments serve to fund our community service programs and advocacy efforts; specifically, our work toward improving women’s economic independence and security in our region. For more information, visit www.ncjwpgh.org.
The Center for Women helps women in transition achieve and maintain economic independence by providing and referring career, educational, and financial resources. For more information, visit www.centerforwomenpgh.org.
The Children’s Rooms offer safe, free childcare to parents and guardians who must attend to legal matters in the courthouse. Children receive a meal and snack, and a book to take home.
The Suit Yourself Voucher Program gives vouchers to clients re-entering the workforce and needing proper attire after graduating from programs of recovery and job-readiness.
